Journal Entry
Tragedy Struck Again March 16, 1965 It’s only been a few weeks since Patricia had her third stroke; I wake up every day frightened for her life. She has been so lucky that these strikes have not taken her life, she is such a strong woman and I don’t want her to give up. I decided today that I am going to set up a schedule for her so she has things to do every day. I see her getting weak and tired but I need her to push on and not give up, if not only for her but for our baby as well. I am going to set up a program so she gets six hours of speech therapy everyday so she can stay busy and keep her mind off of being tired. I want Patricia to worry about nothing but getting better and staying healthy, I will take care of all the house duties as long as her main focus is on her own health and the health of our baby. |
End Note 5:
When creating this genre I learned about Roald Dahl's background and how he felt about the tragedy he dealt with. I think the audience for this genre is someone that is interested more in Roald's personal life not so much about his writing, because this genre does not talk about his writing, it talks more about his personal/family life. I chose this genre because I thought it would connect with his Roald felt when he was dealing with his wife being sick and it was a way to show the readers how he handled the situation he was faced with. I read about this tragedy on his website and incorporated that into a journal entry. In the reading it said that Roald was really sad about his wife and I used that and showed it in the journal entry that I wrote. Lauren. |
